Mission Statement:
The mission of the County Maintenance Department is to provide a variety of services and routine day-to-day maintenance to various county buildings and properties. The services include general maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC, light construction, grounds maintenance, equipment and furnishings repair and assembly, housekeeping, etc.
This department provides cost effective housekeeping services and maintenance repair services by full-time and part-time employees for all county owned buildings and properties.
The Jail, as a “workhouse” routinely provides a work detail, supervised by an employee of the Maintenance Department, to assist with the repairs and grounds maintenance. The use of inmates provides assistance without increasing full-time employees.
Responsibilities for the schools and highway facilities are assigned to the respective departments.
