May 5 - Notable Trees of Tennessee — A special photo exhibit at Rogersville Depot Museum A collection of 37 unique photographs of champion landmark trees of Tennessee will be on display May 3 - 31at the Rogersville Depot Museum. This exhibit is sponsored by the Rogersville Tree Board and is designed to raise public awareness of the ecological importance and survivability of the state’s largest and oldest trees.
The exhibit will be open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. or later by appointment. It will be open on Saturday, May 5, 12 and 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or other hours by appointment. Admission is free.
Shakespeare and Friends: Renaissance Faire -- Celebrate the Renaissance with this two day festival in the Crockett Springs Park in downtown Rogersville. East Tennessee State University Shakespeare Ensemble, a Human Chess Match, storytelling, puppetry, music, period games of skill, demonstrations of period arts and crafts, and a Market Place with merchants' wares. July 4th
Independence Day Festival and Parade -- Historic Rogersville sponsors a huge Fourth of July Celebration, bringing together more than 50,000 people annually. In addition to one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast, the festival features a free concert by a country music superstar.
