Duties of the Office of General Sessions Court 

  • Establishes a docket of all cases that are to be heard in this court
  • Maintains a computer file on all past cases that have been heard in this court
  • Sets court dates for defendants
  • Issues Show Cause Citations for defendants that are not paying on fines and court costs as ordered by the judge
  • Provides applications for restricted drivers licenses
  • Receives and handles inquiries regarding cases that have been heard or are to be heard. court
  • Advises callers of relevant information
